Should I buy a 2009 Chevy HHR?

14 Jul

I’m thinking on getting a car. I really need one, but I am both waiting to get more money for a decent down payment (3000), insurance (like1000 because I always like to pay the fees for either an entire year or a semester so I forget about monthly payments and could easily concentrate on my car’s monthly payments) and for prices to go down a little bit more.

The main reason for being interested on this car is because I have researched many station wagons, crossovers, mini SUV’s and hatchbacks and this car seems to be the best choice. I have got results for cars like the Toyota Matrix, Nissan Versa Hatchback, Chevy HHR, Chrysler PPT Cruiser, Dodge Caliber and Jeep Patriot and Liberty. I really don’t like big cars like trucks or the new SUV’s because I feel that I am driving a bus or something even though I am 6′3 and weigh 200 pounds! I also look for good pricing and affordability, as well as miles per gallon. All of those cars mentioned on top really get good mileage from 21-28, which is not a bad range. I wouldn’t mind if the car comes with a manual transmission too, but if my sister ends up driving it more than me, something that usually happens, than I would have to get a car with either an automatic transmission or one of those new CVT transmissions.

Since I have been researching I have obtained good prices, been 12 000 the cheapest one, and 21 000 the top one. I also have been comparing car sizes and dimensions. They all look alike, and range between 168-176 inches on height, 67-72 inches on length, and 66-68 on width. The Jeep Patriot and HHR have good space on the back, while the Matrix, Versa are smaller. Then they all look nice, and have good features. I don’t need a luxury car, so I don’t need to buy a car with leather seats, Bluetooth incorporated, and exotic rims. As long as the car has a good warranty for like 6-7 years, and or 100 000 miles I am more than satisfied.

I am planning on either buying my car either before Thanksgiving, or by late February of next year, because I would like prices to go down, and probably use a “new” or “upcoming” deal or Obama’s stimulus.

Now please help me. I would be more than satisfied with it.
