Compare Car Insurance Premiums

My car has always been insured under my father’s name. He had a DUI a year ago, and the insurance costs rocketed. Do my rates rise also, or can I separate myself from the DUI and find my own insurance?

ok so im tired of sites making me give away all my personal information just so i can see what owning a type of car would be a year. the 2 cars i am looking to insure are either a newer lotus elise or a 79-81 Pontiac trans am. im 22 male in Chicago with now accidents or bad credit. i need an estimate or a site, thank you!

I need a new auto insurance company, Allstate just raised my rates through the roof. But I don’t want it to be an unreliable company that will drop me for one little crack in my winshield. State Farm and all those companies are too expensive for me (I am a teenager and work part-time). I live in CA. Any suggestions?

i have mercury for 2yrs now…basically they charge me less than farmers insurance….

now, this company offer me bigger coverage compare to what i have. but same price w/auto company(mercury)…and i am totally confused if i should go for it???

A bad driver with good credit score gets to pay lesser premium than a good driver who has average credit score. I think it is gross misuse of credit rating for deciding auto premiums. Somebody needs to fight this overusing of credit score check for everything

ex. I got a dui almost 5 years ago, will an insurance company look at my record from the past 5 years or longer? How many years from your dui do they hold it against you?

I recently had to take my old car to get the insurance estimator guy to look at it. I was given a check for damages. He said it was almost totaled because the value of the car vs. damage costs. He wrote me a check right there. My question is, if I dont use all of the money, or any of the money to get it fixed (because my husband can fix the major problem) is that like illegal? Will I get in trouble? Would I have to pay it back?
This same car was hit years ago, and I got a check and never once used the money to fix it. Wasnt worried about it. But a friend said something, that scared me so now I am paranoid.

I just want a direct name of a good auto insurance company for full coverage. So far I’ve been quoted from $800-1000 for full from allstate or mercury.
I just got off the phone from a progressive agent, and although she was very kind, the insurance surpassed the 1000 range to 1118.90
Chase R- where the hec are you getting your full coverage car insurance from, are you sure its full coverage? Are you talking about monthly payments? Im going by the six month interval

Where does everyone compare auto insurance quotes?. Ive been to a few sites, but they are not very useful. I’m looking to get auto insurance info by state, and also looking to read some ways to get multiple discounts on my policy. Please leave me your info on what helped you pick your auto insurance polciy

I want to get them both through the same company because they give you discounts rates. The insurance will be for two cars and include my wife on the account. Is there an easy place to compare rates?
