How would these cars compare to each other, Insurance wise…?

1994 3000gt
1997 Spyder Eclipse
2001 Mustang Vert.

I had talked to an insurance guy who found me a decent price on the 2001 ’stang, but they sold it. I can’t quite remeber the price though sorry. But it was alot less then you would imagine! :) ), for a 16 year old Female.

Like I said I’m not asking you to find out a NUMBER for me I just want to know if the eclipse would be close to the same price for insurance a month or lower…(if so, how much lower?)

I’m not a lazy person, computer’s just jacked..and it’s sunday (can’t call places! ;])

Sorry but I would also like to sadd in the 2000 Celica GTS

(The Eclipse and Mustang are/were neither GT’s)

The eclipse is a 4cyl, automatic!

Why do people compare Mandatory Health Ins with Mandatory Car Ins?

lol I swear it’s just a gimmick to make people visit comparethemarket.com cos all over comparethemeerkat.com its saying ‘go to compare the market.com for cheap car insurance!’ I find the whole thing very confusing.

Are we doing well financially? How do we compare?

35 year old couple, 2 children. Earn almost 100K after taxes.
Approx. 100K Home Equity, Owe 225K Mortgage Balance.
< 1K credit card debt, paid off every month. Both cars paid off. No student loan or any other debt. Emergency Fund: 26K. Diversified Retirement Assets (90% stocks): 75K (401K, 403B, ROTH, & Trad. IRA Total). 529 College Plan: 18K.
Wife has company pension, but still contributes 20% of salary
I contribute 10% to 401K and 4K to ROTH. We both have Term Life Insurance policies.

Why is it so hard to compare home/fire insurance rates?

I’ve asked this question here and elsewhere before but have never received a single solitary answer (except spam). Why is it so hard to find a site or get a response from someone saying–”yea I compared about 5 insurance rates and the cheapest was ABC Insurance”. You would think tens of thousands of people have the same question. (Auto and Life insurance comparisons are a dime a dozen so why not home/fire insurance–is there a conspiracy?!.) Surely at least one person has actually done a price comparison of homeowners insurance and shared the results! Why then is this info so impossible to find anywhere?

Why do supporters of a health care mandate try to compare it to auto insurance mandates?

Auto Insurance Mandates:
1. Require you to buy car insurance only if you choose to drive a car.
Only as a condition of driving.
2. You are only required to buy insurance to protect the person you hit, not yourself.

Health insurance mandates: Require you to buy health insurance as a condition of what?
As a condition of being a U.S. resident.
You are forced against your will to purchase something with your own money for your own benefit.

I’ve just been on a ‘compare site’ looking for car insurance?

I’ve had a quote for 100 less than my own. I pay a broker to search for the cheapest deals and I’ve found plenty cheaper than the quote they’ve given me. How come they haven’t found the cheaper ones or am I missing something?

Dodge Nitro
Ford Escape
Ford Edge
Chevy Malibu
Chevy Tahoe
GMC Terrain (brand new comes out this fall) Check the website!
Some background info. I’m getting married in September. We will probably start a family within the next two years atleast. So im not so sure about getting a car. My fiance is a big union man, so it has to be UAW made (made in America) car. I’ve checked insurance prices for all of these so that’s not a huge deal.. I would just like to hear the comparison of other opinions. I’ve read several reviews online about each but i’ll hear something good about that certain car, then something bad.. so idk. Thanks!

do you think those who compare Health Insurance and Auto Insurance to each other are rational?

Second question
Do people really not know that some states do not require you to buy auto insurance even if you have a car and drive it?

a couple states don’t require any Insurance, some states just liability, some states more but it is all State law NOT Federal.

3rd question
Has the public education failed us so badly that people do not know the 10th Amendment or the 14th?

Question 4
Are the folks who are trying to legitimize a tyranical Government truly Socialists or Marxists or ignorant of the U.S. Constitution?

4th Question
Have people really lost that many brain cells to the Kool-aid that they dont realize you don’t have to buy a car even – you could take a bus and if you don’t buy a car you don’t need car insurance?

And Lastly
So should the FED force people to BUY cars? and Then Car Insurance or just force the Auto shops to fix my car when it is broken?

Why do people compare mandated health insurance to car insurance when the fines vary greatly?

Im actually getting really tired of hearing about how car insurance is mandated. Give it up, that argument is not working. Tell us why you want to fine people that much money for not buying a product?
Fine for not having health isurance = $3,800

Fine for not having car insurance = $100-$500

And not to mention that nobody is required to have car insurance if you dont own a car. You cant do that with your body now can you? What happend to choice, libs?

- If you dont own a car, there is no law that forces you to buy car insurance anyway.
However…
– If you dont have healthcare insurance, Obama will now FORCE you to buy a healthcare policy or you will be fined or imprisoned for refusing to pay the fine.

And yet youre still going to sit there and seriously tell me ‘thats not Facism’? Have you people truly now lost whatever was left of your minds?? A Government forcing its citizens to buy something they neither need or want is ‘freedom’ to you???

How can forcing people to have car insurance compare to forcing health insurance?

Actually this equates to Slavery by the government???
You do not have to buy car insurance if you do not own a car. Secondly, if your car is paid for then you only have to have liability insurance to protect others not for the repairs of your own car.
Yet, forcing everyone to have health insurance would fall on every individual regardless of age, sex, race, income, ect. If you do not have enough after paying your monthly bills you will be fined and even serve prison time with a $25,000 fee. This essentially goes against Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness isn’t it? Liberals want to say everyone should have, and the government should provide? Yet, this is not government providing it is government enslaving you to have?? Slippery slope they are weaving and the benefits will be far less than we have today with the government oppression on each individual.
I am not the one who compared the two, Obama did!
