The accident was the other guy’s fault (in California). The insurance company chose to “total it” and pay me, rather than have it fixed. But the price they are quoting me is very low, lower than Kelley Blue Book and lower than asking prices in local classifieds. They say they use their own program, but I can’t replace what I had with the amount they are offering. What rights do I have and is there anything I can do to get that offer up?

How to lower price for car insurance?

Hi.So I bought Renault Clio 1.2 16v Extreme for 2.5k £. It has modifited alloys (16′),tinted black windows and back lights a’la Lexus. Obviously car was from 2nd hand so these modifications arent worth more than 250-300£. I’m 18 years old and Im holding my driving license for 1 month. I quoted myself on many car insurance websites and all I see is 2900-3300£ to insure it if I type that my car is modifited (without mods it’s 1,8k£ to insure) ! My question is:
Is there car insurance company that will not cover modifited parts but it will cover rest of the car so I’ll pay like for non-modifited car? If it is – what’s the name of that company.

Car totaled, what is a fair price?

Son hit a deer and the car is totaled. Nothing owed on the car, it’s a 2002 Kia spectra. Had minor hail collected on 3 years ago and would be considered a fair car. Insurance adjuster saw it today and is getting back to us tomorrow, just so I’m prepared, about what will he offer compared to NADA, Edmonds, Kelly blue book and similar local cars for sale in the area. Any one that’s had this before, appreciate your input.

After a collision, my company low-balled the estimate and no one will repair my car for that price, help?

Help, I was hit by a drunk driver (in Florida). He had insurance, but not enough to cover damage to my car (which was ALMOST totaled). I filed a claim on my collision insurance, who had their PRO shop do an estimate, and the estimate was full of used and aftermarket parts (the car is under 20k miles and a 2006 model). It has gone to 2 other pro shops, but none of them will do the work because the original estimate is so low compared to the actual damage. My insurance company is telling me that it is my problem and they don’t care, and will not total the car. It has been sitting in body shops for 2 weeks but no one will repair the car for the price the insurance company is willing to pay. How do I get my car back on the road? They will not send anyone to look at it and tell me it doesn’t matter if I hire my own adjuster, because they don’t care. I’m feeling like I’m not in “good hands.” What can I do? Lawyers don’t want to take a case for this amount of money…
The claim is through my ins company, so MY company is paying the damages, and the other driver’s insurance won’t handle the claim. My company will subrogate for whatever his max is and then pay the rest.
The first shop my car was sent to was one that my ins. company recommended. They did an estimate full of aftermarket and used parts…(the estimate was $12,000). We saw the amount of damage and decided to take the car to the dealer for that much. The dealer sent it to another shop (also affiliated with the insurance company), who said they couldn’t fix it for that price, the dealer then arranged for it to go to a third allstate shop.. where it has been for a week. We authorized the parts to be ordered and everything. Then, the manager just called and said they changed their mind and didn’t want to work with that many used parts. They keep telling me to sell the car and give up. I have a bank loan, it’s not that easy. a-state refuses to total it, or find someone willing to repair it.

Is $201.12 a month for full coverage from State Farm a good deal? Progressive quoted me for $285 a month and it doesnt even include UM and the liability is at 10/20/25. State farm would cover me 25/50/25, auto death indemnity, UM, and more.

I am a new driver (22) and I purchased an rx350 ‘09… The insurance premium came to about 1k a month which is way too high and I can’t afford… I tried calling other insurance companies to compare but they couldn’t give me a quote because I had to be atleast a year driving before they can give me an estimate price.
